All the staff I was in contact with at this hotel were very helpful and pleasant. The room, while well worn, was very clean. The continental breakfast had coffee, tea, juice, an assortment of breads, muffins, bagels as well as instant oatmeal and individual yogurts. There were probably five or six tables set up so there was certainly adequate seating, depending on the popularity of the time you chose to go. Another nice feature was the complimentary Edmonton Journal to read while you ate your breakfast. I very much appreciated that. The pool is located right in the lobby so I didn't make use of it. The entire hotel is kept very clean, but is very worn. The walls are paper thin. You could hear conversations, coughing and "other things". Talk about get to know your neighbour...! The noise from people in the hallway was also very loud. That being said, for the price I paid it was a good deal. Just remember to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

Recently stayed 3 nights in large very clean 2 queen bedroom (#134). Everyone I was in contact with (reception/breakfast server/room cleaners) were friendly and efficient people. Breakfast was nicely presented with adequate seating and was well stocked. Great value and a most comfortable stay. Have no problem recommending this hotel and would stay there again.

staff very nice but had to walk forever from lobby to the room because key cards would not work in outside doors. pool and hot tub nice. was kinda hard to find coming in from the north part of town. staff gave great directions and recommended a wonderful greek place to eat right across the parking lot

Stains on room walls and carpets, old blankets and pillow cases. The room smelled very bad - awe full. Plugged sink and the bathtub. Their breakfast room has several desks and if you want to eat you need to take your food to your room.I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Although the place definitely needs some updates, for the price it isn't too bad. It seemed to be clean, although it may not have looked it as it needs paint and new furnishings. The staff was very friendly and helpfully. The continental breakfast was very good. Pool was extremely cold, hot tub jets worked poorly, and I doubted that any chlorine had been added to the pool. It is easy too access and in a very good location to access many of the attractions Edmonton has to offer. The whole hotel smells of smoke, so non-smokers may not enjoy it. The fitness facility appeared to be pretty good, definitely better than what I had expected. We did have some problems with our key cards needing reprogramming after the first day, but staff dealt with it really well. The alarm clock in our room also went off early in the morning when we had not set it and we were unable to turn it off. We ended up having to unplug it for our stay. Although I would likely try somewhere else if I were to stay in Edmonton again, I would stay here if I could not find something better around the same price. It certainly tarnished the Travelodge name for me.
