I came to Edmonton on a leisure trip to visit some friends and family that live out there. I booked a room, expecting something basic and bland for the affordable rate I was paying for a prime Downtown location. This room and the amenities it had to offer, greatly exceeded my expectations coming in. With this room and the affordable rate I got: a hotel in prime location (by all resteraunts, bars, malls, train stations and attractions), a complimentary satisfying breakfast, free parking for visitors and guests (which apparently is not common in Downtown Edmonton), free internet, as well as wonderful service by all the staff. Everyone working there was very friendy and hospitable. I dealt with them on a number of occasions, asking their expertise, and each time they provided very sound advice. The hotel and the room were very clean and respectable as well. The size of the room was much bigger than expected, and the tvs and appliances were all new as well. I didn't get a chance to use the swimming pool or fitness room, but took a stroll past them and saw guests who seemed to be enjoying these ammenties as well. All in all, for what you pay, this hotel far exceeds your expectations and doesn't dissapoint. Would definitly stay here again.

Having stayed here previously, in a king suite, I expected a decent quality stay. This time we stayed in a queen suite. Hardly any water pressure in the shower, little to no heat at all for it either. Room was filthy looking. Fridge was louder than a jet plane. Shower head was at chest height on someone 5'10". Windows leaked something terrible. Will never stay again.

My partner and I have stayed at the Comfort Inn downtown a number of times, and we have found the hotel to be consistently clean, comfortable, and quiet, with friendly staff, and a good location. It isn't fancy, but it is a good place for a comfortable weekend escape that won't break your budget. The suite in which we stayed was apartment-like, and had a fantastic jacuzzi. A great room, and excellent value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I am a loyal ChoiceHotels member. When a hotel in this chain doesn't meet expectations, then I want to let others know about it. The hotel is very outdated. The temperature settings are not user friendly. When I complained about how hot it was in my room, someone promptly came up to my room to check it. They looked at the wall unit, and then opened my window and said that should help my room cool down. So for the three nights, I had to sleep with the window open to listen to the street noise. The complimentary breakfast setup was horrible, and not close to the quality I am used to with other Comfort Inns. I will say the desk staff was friendly, but the hotel didn't have much else going for it. Also, the internet was down almost my entire stay.

The hotel is simple! Nothing flashy, i was only there from Sat night and left Monday morning. When i checked in on Sat, i was in a room on the 3rd floor that was close to the road and it was very annoying listening to trucks and cars so I asked to be moved to a different room. The front desk was a little hesitant, i guess because it was at 1.30am but he moved me anyway to the 4th floor ""Executive Level"" wooooooo...It was quiet there but it the hallway was stinky! People were smoking weed in their rooms! Anyway, i dont think that I'll ever stay there again. Overrall, it wasn't bad."
